When I was little, I had always wanted family traditions. I would hear my classmates talk about what their family did every year on Christmas or birthdays and I’d get slightly jealous. My family never did that. As I got older, I realized you can make your own traditions and that each family is completely different and there is nothing wrong with that. So with my kids, we do something different each year on every occasion. The important thing to me is that we do it as a family and so we do it together.

When I do get married, I hope to honeymoon in Europe. I wouldn’t want to go to the populated places, but somewhere quaint and old like the south of France, or the ruins of Pompeii or even some small country like Croatia. Europe has that old world charm that’s so attractive to me. Being that I’m not a “beach” person, an island get-away doesn’t sound very relaxing to me. Sure, they’re probably beautiful, but as an individual who has a passion for learning and exploring, Europe sounds like a much more exciting place. What a wonderful way to start of a new life with someone you love.

For many a dog leash seems to be a straightforward item. Its name supplies its use – to leash a dog. But some have seen beyond the obvious and have taken the simple dog leash one step farther. Some companies have seen it’s usability in leashing small children as well as small domesticated animals. And although this new product may seem cute and harmless, it is just the human equivalent of the common dog harness and training dog leashes. So next time you see a cherubic tyke, wide-eyed and excited to be going for a walk with his mommy, thank those creative minds who saw beyond the nomenclature limitations placed by just calling it a ‘dog leash.’

If I really thought about my greatest achievement, I’d say it hasn’t been achieved yet. I currently work as a Phlebotomist and have been in the medical field my whole adult life, but to me, it’s just a paycheck. I have a passion for writing and I hope one day I’ll be able to at least say, even if it’s not published or no body reads it, that I finished a novel. I have all these ideas in my head that I can’t quite seem to get together yet, but I know that when it’s time for the words to come out, they will.
