The Last Three Foods

Choosing three foods to eat for the rest of my life is pretty easy.  I am a picky eater.  Therefore, first I would go with noodles because they are so delicious and compliment every meal.  My second food would be chicken.  I would need the protein and besides, chicken and noodles goes very well together.  The last choice would be kind of tough though.  Should I choose something sweet or something healthy?  I’d probably go with pizza because even though you can spice up chicken and noodles in different ways, no body really gets sick of pizza.

The Most Beautiful Thing

When asked what the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen is, I immediately feel troubled.  The trouble is, I am one of those people who can see the beauty in everything.  If I had to narrow it down, I wouldn’t say the look of love I got from my boyfriend, or the way the tree grows outside the house, or the colors of the sunset last week.  I’d have to go with my daughter.  What a beautiful thing, to have a child born into the world after all that pain and waiting.  To finally see her face, and to watch her grow, it is an indescribable beauty.

Not Always Black and White

Some people miss the fine line that separates man and dog. To them it’s as though their canine companions are members of the same gene pool. Such frivolities like dog food, collars and leashes, and an outdoor doghouse are replaced by gourmet meat dinners, bejeweled necklaces, pet purses, and the dog’s personal pillow on the bed. Where is the purpose in buying dog Halloween costumes for dogs when the poor thing can’t enjoy a single piece of candy? Purified water, matching outfits, and manicured nails seem to go unappreciated among the canine community while doting owners insist on them. They say dogs are color blind, but there also seems to be a large grey area of rationale on the human side as well.

If I ever was lucky enough to win the lottery, the first thing I’d change about my life is my living situation.  I have always had a dream of owning my own house.  One that my kids would call their childhood home and that brought back warm memories for everyone.  It doesn’t have to be a mansion, it just has to be mine.  Warm and comfortable.  French doors in my bedroom and a fireplace wouldn’t hurt, but I wouldn’t be greedy.  I would probably just buy a middle class house in the suburbs where I live now, but it would be enough.
