Advent Theory

I dreamt that I was given an American visa last night. I didn’t apply, I didn’t do anything, I was just called to bring my passport to the Consulate-General of the American Embassy. This was an odd dream especially as I have no plans of going to America at this time. However, if I were to go to America, it would be firstly, to walk on the ‘land of the brave’, to go shopping at all the grand malls, play in the Vegas casinos and watch plays on Broadway. However, while all of this would be great fun, my greatest satisfaction would come from my children meeting their American cousins who time and space have kept separate from them. That is what I would love most about going to America, the opportunity for my family and me to spend a short while with my Americanized siblings and their children.

Now that we know that the Earth shall disintegrate under the weight of our collective pollution and insensitivity within the next hour, I would like to spend the remaining time I have here with my family. In the comfort of the home we have grown to know and love, where our children have been made and born, we shall all sit quietly for a while in reflection of our lives. We shall hug and kiss each other, one after the other and declare our love for one another as we prepare for the inevitable. My husband  would raise a song of praise to the Lord and then we shall start our final fellowship on Earth, preparing the way for the next and never-ending fellowship with God, in Heaven. Holding hands in an ecstatic circle of praise, we shall praise the Lord until our final collective breath.

Dogs are not only man’s best companions but also are good at sports. We can see dogs enjoy their sporting events during dog shows and talent shows held especially for them. There are so many events in which dogs are made to participate along with their trainers or masters. Nowadays dog’s apparels make these shows a colorful and also provide comfort and care to the pet animals which take part in such programs. There are various types of dog’s apparels such as personalized MLB dog jerseys, collars, leashes toys etc. They are also personalized by printing the name of the dogs on the apparels and collars. Well bred and trained dogs are a treat to the eyes in shows especially when they are clad in their dashing apparels they make the show a grand success and a memorable one.

As a Christian I commune with God through prayer daily for a number of reasons; to praise Him for His wondrous works, to beg for the forgiveness of my sins and to ask for His direction and guidance. In doing all these I get closer to Him, who is the Creator of all things. In comparison to the rest of His creations, I sometimes feel very small and I am thereby humbled by the awesomeness of His love for small, inconsequential me. In return for receiving His unending love, I believe that my primary purpose on Earth is to praise and honor Him by ensuring that my thoughts, words and actions are in line with the Holy Word daily.
