Advent Theory

Family means the world to me. The world can be a lonely place if you have no one to call family. And when I say family, I don’t just merely mean people that are related and connected to you by blood. No, when I say family I mean that group of people you love and love you, the ones that you can count on when times get rough. Family is the people you know will be there when time are good or bad. They are the people that are there for you when time are bad, but also make enjoying the good time with them even better because you have been through the bad time with them as well.

The Cosby show is my all time favorite TV Show. I always loved the lessons that can be learned in every episode of the Cosby Show.  Whether it was learning how to be an understanding parent with Cliff and Claire Huxtable or learning that parents may not know everything but they are wise and will always be there for their family. And the children; Rudy, Vanessa, Theo, Denise and Sandra and in the later episodes; Olivia, Elvin and even cousin Pam were hilarious. The was the best show because it exemplified family morals and values in every episode, you never walked away feeing as though you had wasted an entire half of an hour of you life as you do with TV shows nowadays.

I love this time of year when the weather is a little nippy and the leaves start to change and most of all when the family and I drive down to the orchard to go apple and pumpkin picking. I love seeing the joy on my children’s faces when they first set their eyes on all of the apple trees filled with the red, green, and yellow apples. And I can barely contain myself, let alone the children, when we get to the pumpkin patch and see all of the pumpkin on the ground laid out before us. It’s my favorite time of the year.
