Advent Theory

If I could have lunch with three people, it would be my three best friends. We have been good friends for about fifteen years, since high school the four of us have been inseparable. I would have lunch with them because since high school, we went to college different places and then got jobs different places and went our separate ways. We stay in touch by phone and email and see each other one every year or two, but I miss all our fun times together, and since we all live in different states we can rarely see each other. I would enjoy having lunch with them, catching up, laughing, and reminiscing about old times.

I would like a Boxer to be my first dog. I’ve been doing research and whatnot to learn more about the breed. I’d like to know if it would be better if I purchased from a reputable breeder a Boxer puppy so that I can take him to the obedience/training school of my choice and also so that I may properly socialize him with my cats OR should I adopt an adult from a Boxer rescue that has already been socialized with cats? I do know that my 21 month old Binnie does not have fear of any sized dog as long as they are not a threat, however, my 13 month old, Marble, does have fear of dogs but gets over it after about 4 visits with the same dog. I’ve been told it’s just a better experience to get a puppy that I can raise than to have an adult. Don’t forget to get the right puppy dog collars! But I’m fully aware that the adults in rescues are in need of homes.

My dog spends the vast majority of his life imitating a cat: sleeping the day away. It’s no surprise, then, that I purchased him an orthopedic dog bed. It’s the equivalent of a nice coffee mug for me, since I spent the vast majority of my day sucking down coffee. For the few hours a day my dog is bothering to keep his eyes open, I know I’m competing with the bed for the use of his time. Secretly, I wish I could toss it and go back to the way things were, with him curled up beside me each night. But I know that while he’d be more willing to stay up with me into the midnight hours (hence the coffee), his bed is a part of him, and I wouldn’t have the heart to take it. At least not without being on a full cup of coffee.

I like a wide variety of foods, but probably my favorite food and drink is simply pizza and coke. Other foods I like, but I would get tired of them if I ate them frequently, but I don’t know that I would ever get tired of pizza. Pizza is very versatile and can have many different toppings and sauces to make it different. My favorite is simply pepperoni pizza, but veggie pizzas with a thin crust are also good. Also, you can get bread, meat, veggies, and dairy all in one dish. Coke just goes well with pizza and has a good flavor that reminds me of my childhood.
