Kraft Dinner – not just for kids (or for lunch!)

Last night my wife was out with my two kids. Thus, I was a bachelor for the evening! Although I know how to cook, I find that my “free” time is limited, so I decided to go to the gym, watch a movie and go on the internet. Because of this, I didn’t have much time to make dinner. So, I made Kraft Dinner! To make it “somewhat” of a nutritious meal, I also steamed some vegetables, and made some rice to go along with it. I had a glass of milk (which filled the dairy need!), and while watching the movie, I had some microwave popcorn with a Coke! (Not healthy, I know!).

Love Can Keep Us Together

People spend way too much time thinking of ways out of relationships.  Why aren’t we spending as much time finding ways to stay IN them?  More and more, people are signing pre-nuptial agreements.  Why?  Because they expect their marriages to fail.  People are jumping into marriage without fear because they know they can always divorce if it doesn’t work out that well.  Polls show that the divorce rate in our country is awful, but those same people are the ones getting a divorce.  I think it’s time we had a campaign to keep marriages together.  It worked to “rock the vote”.  Now let’s “Stop the Splits”.

This Is Me

I am a girl, a woman, wife, friend and God’s creation. I had a wonderful childhood that I owed to my parents and family. They are the ones who showered me with care, love and understanding that made a whole person that I am today. I am now in my late 30’s and I can say that I have a happy and fulfilling life.  When I was a child I am care free as any child would be. I played a lot and enjoyed Mother Nature has to offer. One thing I was lucky of, we live in a suburb where mountains and trees are abound. I climbed trees, gather fruits, run in the fields, and play with my brothers and sisters.

The weekend from hell

In five days, my sister and drove from Ohio to Florida. Got my son out of the hospital, took him to get a shave and haircut. Went to his apartment, pack his apartment up, took him to the medical center for follow-up treatment, got a place to store his belongings, got movers, picked up his dog and Friday left to return to Ohio, and got back on Sunday at 2PM. And during that time we did eat, sleep and drive, drive, drive. He had a stroke and the closer I got to Ohio the better we all felt. We got to Ohio we all broke down and cried. We were exhausted. This was a test if multi-tasking. I am 67 and my sister was 57.
